The My Script tab of the Stock Screener runs one of your own indicators on every symbol in a market, or across your watchlists, and lists where it matches: a BUY signal, a plotted value, an alert condition or a line of text from the script's table.
The screener's built-in filters cover standard conditions such as an RSI level or a moving-average cross. My Script is for everything else: the logic inside your own indicator. Pick the indicator, a timeframe and a market, choose what counts as a match, and ChartingLens runs that indicator's code on each symbol's bars, the same code your chart runs.
The scan runs in your browser rather than on a server, so keep the tab open while it works. A full NASDAQ + NYSE daily scan (about 6,000 common stocks) takes about a minute or two.
Running a scan from the My Script tab spends no AI credits. My Script is a Premium feature, included on Premium and Pro.
The Indicator dropdown lists every custom indicator you have, tagged (on chart), (saved) or (this session):
When the same indicator is both on a chart and in your library, the chart copy is used, so the scan runs with the input settings you tuned. Built-in indicators such as RSI or MACD are not listed here; screen those from the Filters tab of the Stock Screener.
Open the Stock Screener from the right sidebar and click My Script at the top, next to Filters.
Choose your indicator, then Daily, Weekly, 4 hour, 1 hour, 30 min or 15 min.
Pick a US group, an international market, Crypto, one Watchlist or All my watchlists. Stock markets also take Min price, Max price and Min avg volume.
ChartingLens reads what the script outputs and lists it. Pick an output and set the condition.
Leave Judge the last closed bar on and click Run Scan. A progress bar shows symbols scanned, matches and time left, and Stop ends it early.
Click any match to chart it, or use Export CSV or Copy symbols.
Stock markets are limited to common shares, so preferreds, warrants, units and rights are skipped. Min price and Max price are in the market's own currency, and UK prices are in pence: a Max price of 50 on the LSE means 50p. The price and volume fields are hidden for watchlists, crypto and the Liquid US list, which has its own thresholds.
On stock markets, each symbol loads about two years of bars on Daily, ten years on Weekly, a year on 4 hour, three months on 1 hour and a month on 30 and 15 minute bars, enough for long lookbacks such as a 200-day average. Symbols with fewer than 30 bars or no recent bars are skipped.
When you pick an indicator, ChartingLens runs it once on SPY to find everything it outputs, then lists those outputs in the Match when dropdown:
AI-built indicators expose their signals, true/false conditions and plotted values the same way. If a script outputs nothing scannable, the panel says so; ask the AI Chat to add a plot or alertcondition for the state you want to find.
This checkbox is on by default. It ignores a candle that is still forming, so a mid-session signal that could vanish by the close can't create or erase a match. Bars are judged on each exchange's own clock: an ASX daily bar counts as closed after the Sydney close, and crypto daily bars close at midnight UTC.
The results header shows the match count, the exact condition, the market, how many symbols were scanned and skipped, and how long the scan took. Each row shows the symbol, the detail (latest bar, bars ago, the value or the matched text), the last close and that bar's change.
Click a row to load the symbol on your active chart. Export CSV downloads symbol, detail, close, change % and bar date; Copy symbols puts a comma-separated list on your clipboard. If nothing matches, the panel lists the most recent occurrences instead, and the last run is still there when you come back.
You can also ask in chat, for example "screen the market with my <indicator name>". The chat runs the same engine on the top 500 stocks of the Liquid US list, or on your watchlists, and reports recent BUY or SELL signals. The My Script tab is the full version, with whole markets and every output type.
A stage-analysis script that publishes its stage as a hidden value or table text can be scanned for Stage = 3, or the text Stage 3, across the whole market.
Match a BUY signal within the last 2 bars on Daily, judged on closed bars, to see which names your own strategy just triggered on.
Run the same indicator on the ASX, the LSE or every Coinbase USD pair, with price limits in the local currency.
Run a script on All my watchlists after the close and chart only the names it flags.
