Multi-Chart Layouts

View up to 3 charts in flexible arrangements — side-by-side, stacked, or mixed layouts — each with its own symbol, timeframe, chart type, indicators, and drawings. Premium users can also pop out additional windows for multi-monitor setups.

How Multi-Chart Works

Each chart pane is fully independent. Adding an indicator to one pane doesn't affect the others. Changing the symbol in one pane leaves the others untouched. Choose from 8 different layout arrangements — horizontal splits, vertical stacks, or asymmetric grids — to build a workspace tailored to your trading style.

Layout Arrangements

With 2 charts, choose side-by-side or top/bottom stacking. With 3 charts, pick from six arrangements: three columns, big-left with two stacked right, two stacked left with big-right, two top with full-width bottom, full-width top with two bottom, or a grid layout. Switch between arrangements instantly without losing your chart data.

Multi-Window Support

Premium users can pop out additional chart windows — perfect for multi-monitor setups. Each window runs independently with its own layout, symbols, and indicators. Your primary window's saved layout is never affected by secondary windows.

Independent Per-Pane Settings

Symbol — each pane tracks a different ticker. Watch AAPL, BTC-USD, and ES=F at the same time.
Timeframe — view the daily chart alongside the 4H and 15-minute charts of the same stock for multi-timeframe analysis.
Chart Type — use candlesticks on one pane and Heikin Ashi on another to compare raw and smoothed views.
Indicators — add RSI to one pane and MACD to another without cluttering a single chart.
Drawings — trendlines, Fibonacci levels, and other drawings are pane-specific. Your daily chart drawings won't appear on your intraday chart.

Active Pane Selection

Click any chart pane to make it the "active" pane. The active pane has a subtle border highlight so you always know which chart is selected.

Watchlist interaction — clicking a symbol in your watchlist loads it into the active pane only, leaving other panes unchanged.
Search — using the symbol search bar updates the active pane.
Indicator addition — any indicator you add goes to the active pane.
Drawing tools — all drawings are applied to the active pane's chart surface.

Quick Pane Switching

Simply click anywhere on a pane to activate it. The transition is instant — no menus or mode switches needed. The active pane border highlight gives clear visual feedback about which chart will receive your actions.

Multi-Timeframe Analysis

Same symbol on daily, 4H, and 1H. Identify the trend on the higher timeframe, find entries on the lower one.

Correlated Pairs

Watch SPY and QQQ side-by-side to spot divergences, or track BTC and ETH together for crypto correlation analysis.

Sector Monitoring

Track the top stock in 3 different sectors to gauge market breadth and sector rotation.

Stock vs Futures

Compare a stock chart alongside its related futures contract (e.g., AAPL and NQ=F) to see how the broader market influences individual names.

Cloud Sync

Your multi-chart layout — including which symbols, timeframes, indicators, and drawings are on each pane — syncs to the cloud automatically. Open ChartingLens on a different device and your exact workspace is restored.
