Live Charts

Professional-grade real-time charting for stocks, crypto, and futures. Built on a high-performance rendering engine with WebSocket data for crypto, live polling for stocks, and pre/post market prices throughout the interface.

9 Chart Types

Switch between chart types instantly without reloading data. Each type offers a different perspective on price action.

Candlesticks

The standard. Shows open, high, low, close with color-coded bodies for bullish and bearish candles.

Bars (OHLC)

Classic bar chart with horizontal ticks for open and close. Preferred by some futures and forex traders.

Heikin Ashi

Smoothed candles that filter noise and make trends easier to identify. Uses averaged values instead of raw OHLC.

Hollow Candles

Filled bodies for closes below open, hollow for closes above. Adds a visual dimension to trend analysis.

Line

Simple closing price line. Clean and minimal — useful for seeing the overall trend without candle noise.

Step Line

Horizontal steps between price levels. Makes price plateaus and breakouts visually obvious.

Area

Line chart with filled area beneath. Good for visualizing price relative to a baseline or zero level.

Baseline

Shows price relative to a reference level. Above baseline is green, below is red — instant visual feedback on direction.

Columns

Vertical bars from zero. Useful for volume visualization or comparing price changes across periods.

Timeframes

Analyze price action at any granularity. Switch between timeframes with a single click in the toolbar.

Real-Time Data

ChartingLens uses two methods to deliver real-time price updates depending on the asset class.

Crypto — WebSocket

Cryptocurrency data streams through Binance WebSocket connections. Candles update tick-by-tick in real time with zero delay. This is true streaming data — the chart reacts to every price change as it happens.

Stocks — Live Polling

Stock data uses intelligent polling that adapts to market hours. During regular trading hours (9:30 AM - 4:00 PM ET), the chart polls for new data at regular intervals. Outside market hours, polling frequency is reduced automatically to conserve API calls without missing important moves.

Smart Market Hours Detection

The platform automatically detects whether the US stock market is currently open, in pre-market, in after-hours, or closed for the weekend. Polling frequency adjusts accordingly — fast during active sessions, slower during quiet periods. This keeps your data fresh while minimizing unnecessary API calls.

Pre-Market & After-Hours Data

Extended hours data is displayed throughout the platform — not just on the chart, but in the header bar, sidebar, and watchlists.

Futures Support

Trade futures with live data outside regular stock market hours. ChartingLens supports popular futures contracts including ES=F (S&P 500 E-mini), NQ=F (Nasdaq 100 E-mini), and more.

Futures trade nearly 24 hours a day during the week, so ChartingLens delivers continuous data streams for these instruments even when the stock market is closed.
