How It Works

The AI Buy Signals system runs on a server-side screener that evaluates over 2,000 stocks every day. It combines multiple layers of analysis to identify setups with the highest probability of a profitable move.

Data Collection

The system pulls real-time OHLCV data, fundamentals (P/E, EPS, market cap), and technical indicator values for each stock in its universe.

Multi-Factor Scoring

Each stock is scored using a blend of trend strength, momentum signals, volume confirmation, and fundamental health to produce a composite ranking.

Signal Generation

The top-scoring stocks become signals. The AI assigns a confidence level, suggested entry price, target price, and stop-loss level for each one.

Forward Testing

Every signal is tracked forward from generation date. You can see whether each past signal hit its target, was stopped out, or is still active.

Ticker & Company Name — the stock being flagged
Confidence Score — a percentage reflecting how strongly the AI rates this setup based on the convergence of technical and fundamental factors
Entry Price — suggested price to enter the trade at current levels
Target Price — the AI's projected exit price based on historical price patterns and resistance levels
Stop Loss — a suggested downside exit to manage risk if the trade moves against you
CL Score — ChartingLens's proprietary 0-100 technical rating that combines trend, momentum, volume, and support/resistance into a single number
Forward-Test Status — after a signal is generated, you can check back to see whether it hit the target, was stopped out, or is still in play

The CL Score

The CL Score is ChartingLens's proprietary technical rating system. It assigns every stock a score from 0 to 100 based on the current state of its key technical indicators.

Trend Strength — are moving averages aligned in a bullish or bearish configuration?
Momentum — are RSI, MACD, and Stochastic confirming the direction?
Volume Confirmation — is volume supporting the move or diverging?
Support & Resistance — is the price near key levels that could act as floors or ceilings?

A high CL Score (70+) suggests that technical conditions are strongly bullish. A low score (below 30) suggests bearish conditions or high risk. The score updates in real-time as indicators change.

CL Score + Win Rate Tracking

Every CL Score is tracked over time. You can view the historical win rate for different score ranges — for example, how often stocks with a CL Score above 80 went on to hit their target. This gives you data-driven confidence in the signals you choose to act on.

Track Record & Transparency

Unlike most signal services, ChartingLens publishes full forward-test data for every signal generated. Nothing is cherry-picked or deleted after the fact.

Total Wins — the count of signals that hit their target price
Win Rate — percentage of signals that were profitable
Average Gain — the mean return across all winning signals
Best Gain — the single highest-performing signal in the history

How to Use AI Buy Signals in Your Workflow

1. Check the daily signals. Open the AI Signals panel each morning to see the latest 25 picks. Sort or filter by confidence or sector.
2. Review the chart. Click any signal to load the stock's chart. Apply your own indicators and check the setup against your strategy.
3. Check the CL Score. Verify the proprietary technical rating. Higher scores indicate stronger technical alignment.
4. Use the AI Assistant. Ask the AI for additional analysis — support/resistance levels, pattern identification, or sentiment.
5. Set an alert. If you want to wait for a better entry, set a price alert and get notified when the stock reaches your target level.
